MPS- Masters in Professional Studies in Creative Arts Therapy, Brooklyn, NY: Pratt Institute 2001 BA- Bachelor of Arts in Psychology; Santa Fe, New Mexico: College of Santa Fe Therapy is a process that is unique to each individual. Are you struggling to ignite your life passions, feeling “stuck” with professional or personal growth? Perhaps you have experienced an unexpected life change and would benefit from extra support. I am curious to know your life story and will bring a genuine and compassionate therapeutic approach to support you. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified Art Therapist with 20 years of experience, I have supported individuals with life transitions, grief/loss, trauma, anxiety, depression and developing a positive self-image. I feel passionate to offer adults, other professionals and therapists in training a strengths-based perspective and goal oriented approach. To explore the changes you desire, I invite you to engage in the therapeutic relationship by using a blend of traditional talk therapy and the creative arts. This process can be a soothing, cathartic release to support self-expression and give voice to your experiences. I encourage you to engage with the creative outlet of your choice such as painting, clay, drawing and collage, as well as writing, storytelling, and journaling. Previous art experience is not required. Together, we will explore ways to honor your creative spirit and encourage the life transformation you seek. You deserve to find the right match in a therapist. If you’d like to explore how together, we can begin your therapeutic journey, please give me a call for a free 30min phone consultation. (512) 270-1178 or via email at kmcgarity12@gmail.com. At this time, I am accepting private pay.
