As a Licensed Profession Counselor and Board Certified Art Therapist, I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I work with clients to help meet goals, change unhealthy behaviors, discover new strengths, improve self-expression, and encourage healing.
I've provided art therapy in various settings including refugee ministries, day treatment clubhouses, in-patient psychiatry hospitals, school settings, and in-home. I am passionate about supporting clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, past trauma, and self-esteem. Together, we will use art materials and techniques that encourage self-expression, exploration, and understanding. Clients are encouraged to create artwork and use verbal expression as needed during therapy. I am here to support and provide compassion throughout the therapeutic process.
My goal is to help clients find understanding, personal strength, and healing. I believe therapy should be client centered and focused on building autonomy and feeling empowered. If you believe you'd benefit from art therapy please contact me for a free phone consultation at (512) 766-3721 or BButler.firstname.lastname@example.org.
I accept private pay and sliding scale. I also accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Magellan, Superior Health, and Traditional Medicaid STAR and CHIP.
